She surprised fans with her dramatically youthful complexion after sharing a series of flawless selfies across social media.
But after weeks of probing Sam Bailey, 39, has conceded that her sudden ability to look 15-years younger has very little to do with good genes, and everything to do with Botox.
Speaking to Loose Women on Friday morning, the former X Factor winner admitted she paid a visit to a London clinic as she braces herself for her milestone 40th birthday.

Sam spoke exclusively to MailOnline about her plight with facial paralysis condition, Bell’s palsy, this July.
In 2014, one particularly harrowing experience of the condition inspired one of the most ‘chilling’ songs from her 2016 album.
Sam admitted that she almost took an accidental overdose while suffering from the condition, which causes paralysis of the facial nerve.
First thing in the morning: Even in bed and make-up free, Sam’s fans were impressed by her beauty
She could pass for 25: Sam’s fans believe she could easily compete in the younger X Factor categories, these days
She told MailOnline: ‘I’ve written a song dedicated to my children for when I’m not around anymore.
‘When I had Bell’s palsy, I nearly took the wrong tablet and could potentially have died. It’s only because I noticed at the last minute that I’m still here.
‘It was a chilling moment. Around about the same time I had two friends who were suffering from breast cancer and had children in the same class as my daughter.
‘I was thinking, “What would you want to tell your kids if it was your last moment?”‘
Earlier this year, the star revealed that she’s never considered facial fillers as she ages because she is concerned she would get ‘addicted’ to it.
Sam told The Sun in August: ‘I don’t like the lines on my head. It makes me look like I’m stressed all the time and I’m getting old.
‘People say, “Why don’t you have fillers?” But I’m worried I might get addicted . . . and end up looking like a complete and utter bit of plastic. I’m quite happy the way I am.’
It was just this summer that Sam revealed she had felt pressured into correcting the distinctive gap between her two front teeth for confidence reasons.
