The Dermaroller is a multipurpose skin rejuvenation device which naturally stimulates collagen and
elastin production in the skin. It is used for thetreatment of fine lines and wrinkles,
hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, cellulite and stretch marks and skin rejuvenation.
The Dermaroller can noticeably rejuvenate the appearance of your skin improving fine lines wrinkles,
old scars or sun damage, it can assist with the absorption of other topical products for skin rejuvenation.
The Dermaroller treatment is suitable for all skin types and does not result in skin sensitivity to UV light.
The Dermaroller is precision-engineered from titanium and features 192 surgical steel
micro-needles which, when rolled across the dermis (skin), creates pin-point punctures.
These tiny puncture wounds are perceived by the body as damage, beginning the onset
of the natural healing process and stimulating the release of growth factors that trigger
the production of collagen and elastin. By having a number of skin needling sessions
with the Dermaroller, new collagen and elastin are produced progressively, gradually
filling indented scars and deep lines.
A local anesthetic cream is applied 30 minutes prior to treatment while your consent form is completed.
The ‘roller’ is then applied all over the treatable area – this takes about 20 minutes.
Side effects of Dermaroller treatments are minimal but may include post treatment redness.
Your skin may feel a little tight or sensitive for up to 24 to 48 hours following the procedure.
You can return to normal activities. The use of an appropriate SPF and skincare as recommended.
You will typically be able to see noticeable results six-eight weeks after your treatment.
We recommend a course of three treatments with a break of six – eight weeks between
each session. This allows for new cell reproduction, collagen and elastin stimulation
and general skin healing.
The treatment results typically last for 6 months- up to a year.
